Sells Park & Rock House, Athens
These were taken months ago the day after I hiked Cantwell Cliffs. I've hiked trails at Sells Park before, but never up to Rock House. Rock House is a formation of very large rocks. I actually climbed up on them to get a view of Athens from EXTREMELY high up. This is not a norm for me. I hate heights. Why is it that I will do things like that do get a picture? Weird. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Strouds Run Hike: March 18- Set 1
First and foremost I would like to mention that I officially hit 3000 total blog views today. That is so cool. People have looked at my crummy, little blog 3000 times. So, I would like to thank my Mom and Dad, my cousins, the rest of my family and Jenn. You rule. I don't know how you did it but wow. 3000.
No, just kidding. I put myself all over the place. Shameless self promotion on Facebook, Stumble-Upon, on photo upload blogs and on my Pinterest page have gotten those hits. I've worked hard to garner that attention. Yippee!
Now, back to the pictures and the shameless self promotion. :) (Obviously I'm in a mood tonight. Sorry. My medications must be off. I'll try to self adjust.)
On Sunday, I hiked at Strouds Run State Park. This is my favorite place to hike. I tried a new trail and was rewarded with scenic vistas of beautiful rock croppings, lovely trees, and a BRUTAL climb. Seriously. It was mean. I had no idea what I was headed for. When I saw the initial hill, I thought, "hmmm..I need to get back in the game, go for it Dee!" Then, halfway up, huffing and puffing and feeling like I was going to fall over (literally over the side of the ravine) I was too stubborn to give up.
So on I went. Multiple times throughout the hike, I almost fell. It would have been a fall to my death. At least I pray it would have been. But, some of the pictures I got were really good and I felt AMAZING after my hike. Really strong, really powerful and really tired.
Now, without further ado and babbling. Here are the first set of shots. I hope you like them. Because seriously, I risked my life for some of these. Honestly, I did. (Well, not many in this set, more in the second set of photos.) Steep cliffs. Ravines. All by myself. In the woods of Southern Ohio. Wow, I am a daredevil! Never knew I was so brave (or stupid), huh?
Enjoy the photos!
