Burr Oak Winter Hike #2

On Saturday I had to get outside.  I haven't been able to go on many walks/hikes due to injuries and some issues of late but I was going stir crazy.  My need for nature, fresh air and just time with God in the outdoors was over riding my senses and I had to go.  So, I fueled up the car (my Lord are gas prices high!) and set off for Burr Oak.

I am so glad I did.  It was colder than I thought by the lake and I wish I'd worn my gloves and ear wrap, but all in all it was a great 2 mile walk and I felt better for it.  Plus I got some lovely shots by the beach and I'm always thrilled with that.  I did take it relatively easy and did not over-exert myself.  My back and hip are still giving me a lot of trouble and I need to be careful so, I walked slowly and very easy and took my muscle relaxants and pain medications before and after.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos.  I loved getting out.  Its supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow and I think I'm going to try for another short walk again.  Wish me luck (and little pain!)
